2010 Central Washington State Fair Democratic Booth

This is an annual Democratic fair time community service event (High School Senior needed and welcomed for community service hours). We have a Democratic booth inside the SunDome. We register voters (both English and Spanish), sell t-shirts, sell buttons, play Wii Sports games, and sell raffle tickets from September 24 to October 3, 2010. The grand prize is a 42-inch LCD Vizio TV and second prize is a Nintendo Wii bundle with Sports Game and a 20-in-1 mega pack both of these prizes will be demonstrated by fair goers at our booth. We will also be handing out Obama coloring/activity pages and business card calendars. The raffle ticket proceeds will go toward funding a permanent local office, which will enable us to increase our presence in the community. We need volunteers to staff this year's fair booth. Volunteers receive an all-day fair pass to get into the fairgrounds for the day they help out at the booth. So to enjoy the fair more days for FREE volunteer more days at the fair booth. Bring a friend with you, because parking is $6 at Infield Lot (Gate 11 or 12 only) off Pacific and 18th Avenue with a FREE people mover your friend and you can catch to PINK admission gate. A 10-day parking permit for $20 is available for you to purchase to save money on parking at the fair. FREE Park and Ride from either North of Office Max or across from the Yakima Visitor Center (just off I-82) to the fair arriving (off Fair Avenue to BLUE admission gate between the ticket office and the SunDome) a half hour before, throughout the day, and leaving a half hour after the fair closes each day of the fair. Another option for those coming from other parts of town and using public transportation, Bus #6 also delivers you to State Fair Park. FREE entertainment like REO Speedwagon, Pro-West Rodeo Finals, and much more will be playing each day of the fair, reserve seating is available for additional cost, so visit http://www.fairfun.com for all the details. Spanish speaking volunteers are especially needed both Sundays (Sept 26 and Oct 3) because of the huge Spanish population those two days.
