This beautiful course at the popular destination island of Wrightsville Beach, NC provides a course with scenic coastal views and a runner friendly course. Participate in one of these races and you will be helping the MMRF two ways: By supporting the MMRF Marathon Program and since the MMRF is the beneficiary of a large portion of the events proceeds! MMRF athletes who join the Quintiles Marathon and Half Marathon MMRF PowerTeam pledge to raise a minimum of $1500 for the MMRF. Team members receive free virtual training and other training support to get you ready for race day. Free fundraising tools, including a personalized online fundraising page, downloadable marketing materials, and full time fundraising support are provided to help you reach your fundraising goals. Team newsletters which provide important team news, training and fundraising tips and lots of inspiration help our runners get to the starting line meeting all of their goals, fundraising, training and personal. Team members also receive race day team jerseys, marathon "support team" t-shirts, and other runner amenities.

In order to ensure that 90% of all funds raised go back to fund myeloma research, each MMRF athlete will be responsible for costs such as marathon registration, transportation and hotel accommodations.

About the MMRF and Multiple Myeloma
The mission of the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) is to relentlessly pursue innovative means that accelerate the development of next-generation multiple myeloma treatments to extend the lives of patients and lead to a cure. The MMRF is the world's largest private funder of myeloma research. An outstanding 90% of all funds spent go toward research and related programming. Multiple myeloma is an incurable blood cancer. Although progress has been made in treating multiple myeloma, the five-year survival rate remains one of the lowest of all cancers.
