A prominent issue embraced by the theme "Nietzsche and Community" is the question of whether Nietzsche is to be read as arguing that the community should exist for the sake of the exceptional individual or as arguing the opposite that the exceptional individual should exist for the sake of the community. But many other Nietzsche-issues can be discussed under the "Nietzsche and Community" rubric: among others, Nietzsche and politics, Nietzsche and Leo Strauss, Nietzsche and Heidegger, Nietzsche's philosophy of education, Nietzsche's philosophy of religion, Nietzsche and Darwinism, Nietzsche and Wagner, Nietzsche and the rebirth of Greek tragedy (and perhaps the Greek polis), Nietzsche and Heidegger, the character of the Genealogy's "sovereign individual." Nietzsche and virtue ethics, Nietzsche and women, and so on.
