Day Ride in Cool

Day Ride at Cool Saturday, December 20th, 2008 Cool is mostly an easy ride appropriate for all levels of horses and riders. There may be a couple of water crossings, especially if we have had some rain. The trail is a combination of single track and dirt/gravel roads, with some hills. Portions are rocky, so shoes are advised. The trail is multi-use and is fairly popular, so bicyclists and hikers will probably be out there. Ride out is at 11:00. Bring your lunch. From Wilton/Sacramento Take Hwy 50 East to Placerville. Exit left on Hwy 49 to Cool, approximately 19.5 miles from Hwy 50. This route is winding, but not steep. When you get to Cool, you will pass the turn off to Georgetown on your right, then the fire station will be on your left (Northside Fire Station).
