It is entirely fitting that an album so full of love is one that people will soon know by heart. That’s the lure of Sugarland, Mercury Nashville’s super duo. By reinterpreting love in a raw-but-graceful collection of 12 brand new songs, they have cut a wide swath across country music. Jennifer Nettles says that, as cliché as it sounds, this is the record she’s always wanted to make. One that challenged the genre to reach a little.
