      Tuesdays March 5th- May28th. 10:30am - Samdhaana Yoga with CarlaSamdhaana is a yoga of balancing subtle body energy through purposeful and symmetrical movement of the physical body. Mandala sequences are signature to the practice. In the Mandala, postures are taken from different points of orientation on the mat, moving in a circular pattern. These sequences are multi-layered with poses that share complementary lines of energy. Moving in an energetically supported way not only eases the body into deeper expression of yoga postures, but also feels amazing. That flow of energy is powerful, promoting healing by restoring balance physically, mentally and emotionally. This practice is strengthening and soothing to a body that may spend time working with clay or at the potter’s wheel, along with bringing the mind to a space of inspired creativity and focus.  Uplifting music, creative flowing sequences and breath work round out this dynamic all-levels yoga practice. Carla Ann Drummond is a Wilmington, NC based yoga instructor (ERYT), with over 25 years of yoga experience. She is known for her laid back and inspirational style of teaching that encourages personal expression through energetic connection, purposeful breathing and creative movement. Carla is also an artist, having worked with clay for almost as long as she’s been practicing yoga.
