      The curtain is going up...on a summer filled with the excitement and magic of theater at The Friends School of Wilmington!
      Open to the PUBLIC!

      SPOTLIGHT! Theatre offers total theater immersion plus all of the fun of a great summer camp.

      Do you dream of standing in the spotlight on opening night, of hearing the applause of an audience or just acting out for your friends?
      At SPOTLIGHT! performers of all levels -- beginner and advanced -- find expression and fulfillment during our all day camp. Our program is for young performers ages 6-14.

      AN UNDERWATER ADVENTURE
      An ordinary day at camp will turn into a rockin wild time.The campers will perform hit summer songs like Surfin USA ,Yellow Submarine and Under the boardwalk.
      July 9th – July 13th 9:00- 4:00
      Ages 7-14

      Spotlight! Theatre Camp involves all aspects of theatre with a presentation at the end of the week. The camp will provide technical training in music, drama, voice and dance.
      Spotlight! Theatre Camp is skill-based curriculum that teaches fundamentals to every child we serve, but really we are hoping our actors’ experiences the joy of pretending out loud and has fun while doing it. The byproduct of fun helps children build self-confidence, overcome shyness, and develop critical thinking skills…and of course have fun!

      AND THE TONY GOES TO...
      Creating and starring in the first ever Summer Camp Tony Awards, the campers will honor Tony award-winning musicals, from Hairspray to A Chorus Line. Broadway is always rocking and so will the campers!
      July 23rd – July 27th 9:00- 4:00
      Ages 7-14

      About Suzzan Smith
      She has worked at theTony Award-winning Children’s Theatre Company in Minnesota.
      Upon her return back to Wilmington, she dove head first into the thespian pool, performing in shows produced by Thalian Association and Opera House Theater Company, before upstarting her own theater Porch Theatre Company.
      The Porch Theatre Company are young and vibrant dinner theatre specialists.
      Porch Theatre Company is a zany blend of written dialogue and improvised laughs for Mystery and Comedy entertaining Dinner Theatre.
      Our goal is to guarantee a memorable night of original entertainment and laughter - every time.
      We write all of our own material to ensure quality and have been entertaining audiences throughout the Southeast since 2005.
      This is a great way to make a dinner into a fantastic evening!
