Details
Now in its 5th year, this race has continued to grow and we expect another great turnout.
Sign up early and get your on site canoe reserved. This is also a bring your own boat (BYOB) race, Sprint or 12 hour.

Pre-Race Meeting 9:35 AM
*Go to the Group Screened Facility to check in* Look for the signs
** We recommend racers arrive at 8:00am to get a good parking spot (PLEASE DON'T PARK ON THE GRASS!) warm up, stretch, set up bikes, sign waiver, get gear checked, plot course, etc **
*** Park entry fee of $4 is included in race fee for all racers and volunteers only! All other vehicle occupants will have to pay the entry fee! Please be prepared for this and be courteous to Park staff! ***
**** RACE STARTS PROMPTLY AT 8:00AM ****
Lodging
There is GREAT camping at Huntsville State Park. They have tent sites, nice screend in shelters with electricity, showers, and RV sites. HERE is the link.
There are several affordable nice motels in the area - we will update with that information soon.
SPRINT DISCIPLINES
2 Person Teams - Coed, Female, Male, Masters (Solo also welcome)
Mostly marked courses
Mountain Biking (6-10 miles)
Flat Water Paddle (5 miles)
Trekking (6 miles - broke into several legs)
Team Challenges

12 Hour DISCIPLINES
3 - Person Teams - Coed, Female, Male, Masters (Solo and 2 person also welcome)
Mountain Biking (50-60 miles) Road and Trail
Lake Paddle (15-20 miles) Boat Drop
Trekking/Navigation (10-20 miles)

Expected Time to Complete Course
* Sprint 3-4 hours
* 12 hour race 8-12 hours
ENTRY FEES
Sprint Teams of 2 = $65 Per Person Until October 15, 2009 - then $75
12 Hour Teams of 3 = $125 Per Person Until October 15, 2009 - then $135
USARA License required $8 (single race) additional if you do not already have one. Can be purchased day of race or online at www.usara.com
