Saturday, November 22, 2008 - Thursday, January 1, 2009 Relive your childhood memories and celebrate the holidays with Lake Metroparks this year at the Candy Wonderland exhibit, featuring scenes inspired by everyone's childhood favorite board game, Candy Land. This elaborate holiday exhibit, back by popular demand, drew nearly 60,000 visitors since 2008.
Play along with the family on a life-sized game board as you pass through peppermint woods cross over gumdrop mountains, travel through lollipop forest and wind your way down the colorful trail to home sweet home in this holiday display.
Children will enjoy building a gingerbread man craft in nature craft area! A $1 donation is requested for the craft.
Remember shopping days in the Halle tradition with memorabilia from the famed Halle Bros. Co. Department Store from Downtown Cleveland. Pass on the memory of Mr. Jingeling to the next generation, and add your own memories of holiday shopping downtown to the official memories book.
Directions: Take I-90 to Rt. 306 south for about one mile. Turn left onto Rt. 615. Turn right (east) onto Kirtland-Chardon Road and continue for two miles. Penitentiary Glen Reservation is located on the right (south) side of the road.
