The art of bronze casting is thousands of years old and continues to intrigue us with its mixture of art, science, alchemy, and magic. Elizabeth Mead, William and Mary assistant professor of art and art history, will explore the primitive and primal world of bronze casting in a free illustrated lecture on Monday, Nov. 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the Williamsburg Library Theatre, 515 Scotland St. Reservations are not needed for this free program, which is sponsored by This Century Art Gallery and Williamsburg Regional Library.
