A poor, neglected cinder girl transformed into a princess is a story that enchants everyone beginning in childhood. Though the details of the transformation differ depending upon the storyteller, the happily ever after always remains the same.
In this beautiful, graceful presentation by the State Ballet Theater of Russia, Cinderella is shown kindness by a glamorous enchantress who enlists the help of the dancing Fairies of the Season to present the young girl with her sparkling gown, tiara, and slippers – just in time for the ball. Described as a jewel-box ballerina come to life, Cinderella dances with her prince in a romantic and breathtaking pas de deux ¯ all the while mindful of the magic that brought them together is fleeing as the wistful chimes of the clock begin to ring. With soft pastel gauzy scenery, gorgeous costumes, amusing comical touches, and glorious dancing, it promises to be an enchanting and magical evening of entertainment.
