Wichita State University Jazz Ensemble Concert 

The three jazz ensembles will perform a program of traditional and contemporary big band compositions and arrangements. Each group will include featured soloists from within the ensemble. Jazz Arts I & II are the University’s two performing jazz bands. The Mid Kansas Jazz Ensemble is a select jazz band comprised of selected area high school jazz students. Selections will include “The Peacocks” by Jimmy Rowles, “Flying” by Bob Mintzer, “Boplicity” as recorded by Miles Davis and Chick Corea’s “Tones for Joans Bones”
