Description
Daily 9am - 5pm, Closed New Years, MLK Day, Presidents Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving and following day, Christmas. YR0144 (Woods)trail is rated 2+. It is primarily on natural surfaces and some paved pathways in wooded Wheaton Regional Park. This trail has a number of hills. Highlights include Brookside Botanical Gardens with ponds, seasonal gardens and the Conservatories with changing colorful displays and a working miniature train. NO PETS ALLOWED IN GARDENS, but there is an optional pet trail (rated 2+). Another optional trail stays within the gardens and has a 5K option. Fee for IVV credit or non-IVV credit is $3.00. Children 12 and under walk for free (IVV-Credit included) courtesy of Freestate Happy Wanderers.
