Walking Event:

Hours: Daily, dawn to dusk. Wethersfield includes 116 homes built before 1840, with a few dating back to the 17th century, plus a lovely cove off the Connecticut River where a warehouse from the 1600s still stands. A picturesque cemetery, with native American mounds and graves going back to the 17th century, is located at the center of town. Historical museums are located at the Webb-Deane-Stevens homes (site of an important meeting between George Washington and Rochambeau leading to the conclusion of the Revolutionary War at Yorktown) on Main St. and at the Keeney Memorial Cultural Center.
