KEN CHRISTIANSON Ken Christianson is an alum of Carleton College where he studied design under the direction of Stephen Mohring, later receiving his BFA in Sculpture at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design under the tutelage of Kinj Akagawa and Karen Wirth. He went on to study under SEAMUS founder (Society for Electro-Acoustic Music in the United States) and CalArts composition professor Barry Schrader, where he received his MFA in Music Composition. Ken’s compositional efforts are largely in collaboration with modern dancers and choreographers, but has also created a large and varied body of work in many other areas of music as well as other inter-disciplinary spheres. Ken is the keyboardist for the band San Francisco- based band Rogue Wave. He teaches and works as a composer, artist, and session musician in Los Angeles. ANDREW BIELSKI Andrew Bielski is an upright and electric bassist of all styles. He holds a Master Degree in Jazz Studies from the University of Toledo where he also served as Instructor of Music. An active performer, he has shared the stage with artists including: Jon Hendricks, Barry Harris, Dave Liebman, Vic Juris, Jamie Haddad, Gunnar Mossblad, Claude Black, and Johnny O’Neil. Andrew Bielski is an artist and educator currently residing in Los Angeles. JAY STOLMACK Saxophone, flute, clarinet, oboe, english horn. Have played with/backed up Four Tops, Spinners, Sylvester ( recorded with him as well), Natalie Cole, Santana, Journey, Eddie Money, Huey Lewis. L.A. blues band The Superstitions, Earl “Fatha” Hines, Cleo Lane, Steve Allen, Bobby Vinton, The Tubes, Dotty West, Carmine Coppola. 27 year music teacher LA school district, Masters Degree with Honors in Music, USC. PAULETTE VICTOR LIFTON Having won multiple Emmy’s and Golden Reel awards in post sound, Paulette Lifton wanted to expand her creativity by playing with Jimmy Lifton. Born in Hollywood, she started her cello playing at age 7, although taking quite a few years off to work on her film directing and post production career. Also a songwriter of alternative country music, her band, Hearts of Fire is in the studio finishing their first album. ULRICH SINN After his parents forced an early start Ulrich Sinn’s musical life began in earnest after the completion of his engineering degree: he studied jazz guitar and earned a performance degree. After having the opportunity to write music for several short films and stage productions in Vienna, Austria he discovered the craft of writing. He studied composition at the Vienna Conservatory of music and after relocating to Los Angeles at the USC Film Scoring Program. Ulrich has contributed several scores to Austrian and German feature films and television shows.
