Trail is well maintaned, from the trail head it is steep with swithch backs for 2K. Then a gradual rise to the top. The road down is also steep with switch backs and some loose gravel in places. After reaching "the Appleatchee Riders Club". The rest of the walk is on pavement back to the start.
