Join us for our second installment of Food On Film, a new Prez Hall-curated series featuring our favorite movies that weave themes of cooking, cuisine and the joy of food into the storytelling, making for visually sumptuous and delicious viewings! Each film will be paired with a special small dish created by local kitchen maestro Kim Shkapich, and preceded by an introduction and brief discussion. Tonight's feature is VATEL (2000, PG-13) starring Gerard Depardieu and Uma Thurman. In 1671, with war brewing with Holland, a penniless prince invites Louis XIV to three days of festivities at a chateau in Chantilly. What follows is a tale of spectacle, intrigue and romance. This film is chock full of stunning visuals and was nominated for an Academy Award for best art direction in 2000 - it is meant to be seen on the big screen!
Tickets are $12.00 for adults, $7.00 for children 12 and under. Includes the special accompanying dish, “Pommes de Terre Chantilly” served with a lively conversation with Shkapich and Managing Director/series co-producer Vanessa Downing. Our cash bar will be serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for purchase, including the specialty cocktail Kir Royale.
Cost: General Admission 13.59
