Description
Daily, dawn to dusk. Elevation of 2200 ft. It is mostly wooded, dirt trails in rolling Sierra Foothills oak, pine, and manzanita forest; streams with wild grapes and berries in Summer, wildflowers in Spring. NO SMOKING. Good picnic spot at Checkpoint 1. Occasional snow or ice may temporarily close trails in winter. Call ahead. Carry water in summer and fall. Water available at start & about 3/4 of the way. Restrooms available near the start. Ask attendant in visitor center for location.
