Event details: The Feminine Face of God
Description
In your childhood you were told that you were created in the image and likeness of God. In your adulthood, you looked in the mirror....and saw the image of a woman.
In my childhood, I prayed "Hail Mary, Mother of God..." In my adulthood, I came to understand that I had been praying to a Goddess all my life.
In my childhood, I listened and saw with the eyes of a child. In my adulthood, I heard and saw very differently, with the eyes of a woman who needed to know more about this feminine face of God. And I NEEDED to find her.
I learned the feminine face of God has many names: Shekinah, Isis, Wisdom, Mother of All Living, El Shadai, and many more....and I was enriched and inspired so much by what I saw and heard and learned.
Here, I pass it on. Information, resources, tools for your own journey. Questions, answers, and a chance to exchange stories and talk to other women on the same journey. You are not as alone as you think you are.
Come to this inspiring, empowering, and awakening class. Meet, honor and celebrate the divine, delicious, playful, and powerful, amazing feminine side of our everyday goddess spirit selves. Images and archetypes to empower, inspire, and affirm your strength and confidence and beauty.
In my childhood, I didn't know strong feminine spiritual images existed or that they were missing. In my adulthood, I needed them to confidently grow beyond the limits defined for me.
In my childhood, the good sisters had us pray for vocations; I got one.
The church in my childhood said, "You're a girl; you're not allowed."
The Spirit of Life laughed and said '"You're not getting off that easily."
Our beliefs and perceptions of ourselves started early and went deep. What we heard as children merits review as adults, especially as women.
