    the good sound system isnt enough to make me want to stand amid throngs of people to see live music. too bad its not more like world cafe in philly--i have actually driven up there to see the same artists that appear at the 930 club--specially the indie artists. its great to actually sit and eat and drink in the balcony area while those who want to stand on the main/stage floor can do so. and the tickets are so reasonable up there at WC that its worth the drive...

    This is MY favorite place in DC. The sound system is probably the best in the city and it is true for any type of music. A must go type of place.

This club resembles Frank's Laboratory in The Rocky Horror Picture Show. The large, open space features a bar and a chest-high stage with a rather impressive sound and lighting system. A balcony encircles the room. Patrons drape themselves stylishly over the railing or drink at a second bar upstairs. Nightclub 9:30 features national acts, such as Snuff, Sleater Kinney and Johnny Cash. Parking is available. All ages are welcome at all shows.
