    This is a great opportunity to introduce your children or yourself to the fine art of stamp collecting. It's interesting, provides an enriching learning experience and there's food and little shops as well! BTW, purchase your stamps here and avoid th long lines at the post office. I began collecting stamps (and ended collecting) at the ripe old age of ten so I don't consider myself to be a philatelist at this point (-:
Description
The National Postal Museum is located on the lower level of the historic City Post Office Building, which was constructed in 1914 and served as the Washington, D.C., post office from 1914 through 1986. The Museum occupies 75,000 square feet of the building with 23,000 square feet devoted to exhibition space. The Museum also houses a 6,000-square-foot research library, a stamp store and a museum shop.
