Young Frankenstein

Directed and choreographed by Susan Stroman

"The Broadway musical at its dizziest, glitziest, and funniest!"
--New York Post

"A blissfully funny monster mash!"
--Newsday

"Young Frankenstein has… the largest percentage of gags per scene."
--The New York Times

The classic Mel Brooks movie Young Frankenstein is ALIVE...and it's headed here! You'll have a monstrously good time at this spectacular new production, the winner of the 2008 Outer Critics Circle Award and the Broadway.com Audience Award for BEST MUSICAL!

Don't miss the sensational cast delivering all your favorite moments from the classic film like "Puttin' on the Ritz," plus brand-new show-stopping numbers written for the stage, including "Transylvania Mania" and "He Vas My Boyfriend."

Tony Award winners Roger Bart and Shuler Hensley are reprising their original Broadway roles of Dr. Frederick Frankenstein and The Monster. Bart and Hensley are joined by Cory English (Igor), Tony Award nominee Brad Oscar (Inspector Kemp/Blind Hermit), Beth Curry (Elizabeth), Joanna Glushak (Frau Blucher), and Anne Horak (Inga).

The company also includes: Preston Truman Boyd, Stephen Carrasco, Jennifer Lee Crowl, James Gray, Shauna Hoskin, Matthew Brandon Hutchens, Kristin Marie Johnson, Sara Lin Johnson, Melina Kalomas, Amanda Kloots-Larsen, Brittany Marcin, Christopher Ryan, Lara Seibert, Geo Serry, Jennifer Smith, Matthew Vargo, and Erick Walck.

This wickedly inspired re-imagining of the Frankenstein legend follows bright young Dr. Frankenstein (that's Fronkensteen) as he attempts to create a monster--but not without scary and hilarious complications. The brains behind the laughter is mad genius and three-time Tony winner Mel Brooks himself, who wrote the music and lyrics and co-wrote the book. Again joining forces with his record-breaking team from The Producers--five-time Tony-winning director and choreographer Susan Stroman and three-time Tony-winning writer Thomas Meehan--Brooks has charged up his hilarious Young Frankenstein with new life. (Timing: Act I - 70 min.; Intermission - 20 min.; Act II - 60 min.)
