Description
Worldwide, over one million cord rosaries are made by hand by volunteers and distributed free of charge each year. In this workshop, we will learn how to make Ranger Rosaries. Staff Sgt. Ristaino of St. Mary's in Annapolis developed this handmade rosary. The rosary is non-reflective and can be carried onto the battlefield. Chaplains love the Ranger Rosary and distribute them to the tropps. Materials and handouts provided free of charge. If you can tie a knot, you can make a rosary! Instructions and more information are located here: http://www.rangerrosary.com/ http://www.catholic.org/diocese/diocese_story.php?id=23671 http://www.dla.mil/chaplain/free_items.asp The Kogod Courtyard is a peaceful and beautiful 37,000 square foot courtyard in the middle of the Smithsonian American Art/Portrait Gallery Museum. This large historic building is right next to the Verizon Center and the Spy Museum. Take Metro to Gallery Place. The "event fee" is voluntary. I'll pass around an envelope to collect voluntary contributions of $.50 - $1 to defray the monthly cost of maintaining the groups Meetup.com website (meetup.com charges a monthly fee).
Event details may change at any time, always check with the event organizer when planning to attend this event or purchase tickets.
