Carpooling and Final Itinerary Thread Update: 1/6/08- I have room for 1 more spot for a girl. Join us for our 2nd annual Weekend @ Wisp Ski Trip. We've booked out a cabin for all the young adventurers who love to ski and board and meet others who share the same passion. Saturday and Sunday Night Stay. Checkout Monday. Check in is 1:30pm on Saturday. Wisp has a long season, averaging 140 days (that's long for the mid-Atlantic), usually running from Thanksgiving into late March. One good reason for the longevity is what amounts to one of the biggest and most efficient airless snowmaking systems in the region. Wisp also benefits from good powder due to the constant "Lake effect". It is situated next to Deep Creek Lake. Next to Snowshoe Ski Resort, Wisp is the 2nd best ski resort in the area. The skiing and riding is spread over 100 skiable acres , with the biggest batch of runs designated blue for intermediates. Novice skiers and riders quickly fall in love with Possum, a trail that stretches from the top of three chairs for 1.5 miles, covering more than 10 acres. Snow tubers can enjoy the nine-chute Bear Claw Snow Tubing Park with its own rope tows to the top of the hill. Two new triple chairs replaced the last of the doubles and extended both to the top of the mountain. Itinerary- Ski, Snowboard, Party. What else were you expecting? Saturday -Arrive and check-in. Ski a few hours on Saturday. -Mix and Mingle Potluck Dinner Party on Saturday Evening so bring your favorite dish and/or a drink to share. Sunday- -Ski all day Sunday -Dinner and Party on Sunday night. Monday -Check-out. -Ski a few more hours before saying good-bye to Wisp. This includes me buying enough breakfast for everyone for 2 mornings. The cost amounts also cover sodas and water, but does not include alcohol. This includes 2 night stay (must share a bed if you are on a double, queen, or King). Please email Dean privately to inquire about having your own bed and cost breakdown. ItÂ’s typically twice the amount since youÂ’re taking up both spaces. When you pay, please state if you prefer same sex only or comfortable with opposite sex. Even allotment for both sexes. I will do my best to match you and ensure there is a balance b/w all bedrooms and sexes. Lift Tickets $65 all day session $38 for night skiing only.
