Event details: Washington Photo Safari - Sudden Spur-of-the-Moment Snow ...
Description
This is a test: are you spontaneous? If so, drop everything, grab your camera and meet us in front of The Lincoln Memorial on the first day of a significant snowfall in February. Why? BECAUSE IT IS SNOWING! In this town, you have to get out and photograph in the snow on the day it falls, because the next day it will melt! On this safari we will review the special white balance and exposure techniques needed to get good pictures in the snow while we explore the snow-covered statues of the Korean War Memorial (VERY powerful in the snow, evoking the weather the soldiers actually faced in Korea), the Vietnam Three Soldiers Memorial, the Einstein Memorial, and the Vietnam Womens Memorial, along with the snow-covered view down the Reflecting Pool. Dont miss this opportunity to get some really beautiful photos, especially in black and white, and learn how to adjust your exposure and white balance settings for snow photography. Offered at 9am on the first morning of a decent snowfall
