Come practice your riding skills with other Trikke riders. Swap rider tips and tricks. Or just hang out and share stories about your Trikke rider adventures. Difficulty Level: Easy to Moderate. The terrain is flat with very minor inclines. Good leisurely ride for new to more advanced riders. Paved (asphalt) surface on main plaza (the closed section of Pennsylvania Avenue in front of the White House). Brick pavers on Layfayette Square paths. Start Location: The closed section of Pennsylvania Avenue in front of the White House. This section is closed to vehicular traffic. Ride Area:The closed section of Pennsylvania Avenue in front of the White House; and Lafayette Square at your leisure. Feel free to ride as much or as little as you like. Trikke tribred owners, the park police tell us that motorized Trikke vehicles are allowed. Parking: Limited parking is available on New York Avenue NW near 15th Street which is close to the ride area. Many more parking spaces are also available along 17th Street NW and along Constitution Avenue (near Washington Monument). These parking spaces are a few blocks from the ride area. Come early to get the best (closest) parking spaces and when there are fewer pedestrians, bicycle riders and other users of the park. Nearest Metro Subway Station: Farragut West Station and McPherson Square Station. Trikke vehicles are allowed on the DC subway system. Observe bicycle rules by avoiding crowded cars and entering at the end doors/sections of a subway car. About President's Park North / Lafayette Square President's Park, located in Washington, D.C., encompasses the White House, a visitor center, Lafayette Park, and The Ellipse. President's Park is administered by the National Park Service. Lafayette Square is a seven-acre public park located directly north of the White House on H Street, bounded by Jackson Place on the west, Madison Place on the east, and Pennsylvania Avenue.
