Track Workout at AU

Interval training-- We'll have a workout in mind, but if anyone wants to suggest a different workout on any given day or do their own thing, that's great too. We'll have some headlamps for when the sun goes down this time, but if you have your own, please bring it. Hope to see you there! Track location: Once you're on campus (directions are below), the track is behind Bender Arena (the main athletic building) next to the basketball courts and tennis courts. There's a map of campus here: http://www.american.edu/media/directions.cfm. There are bathrooms where you can change in Bender Arena as well, on the second floor. Just walk in the main doors and take the stairs up to the second floor and the bathrooms are right there. To get to American University: By car: There is a parking lot (called the Nebraska lot) directly across Nebraska Ave. from the Ward building, which is free after 5pm. The parking lot entrance is just off of Nebraska on New Mexico Ave (just a few hundred yards west of Ward Circle). If you're approaching campus from the east on Nebraska ave, go through Ward Circle to continue on on Nebraska. Turn left at the light, which is New Mexico, and take the next left into the Nebraska lot. By metro: Get off at the Tenleytown-AU metro stop (on the red line). To walk/run from the metro: (.9 miles), head south on Wisconsin (away from Friendship Heights, in the direction of Georgetown), turn right on Tenley Circle and continue onto Nebraska Ave, and continue on until you get to Massachusetts Ave/Ward Circle. Continue on Nebraska through the circle and the campus is on your right. You can also take the N2 or M4 bus from the metro to AU.
