CHECK OUT WORKS BY LOCAL ARTISTS AT THE TORPEDO FACTORY Join us to browse the exhibits and the studios at Alexandria's Torpedo Factory Art Center, which once served as a torpedo factory, and now is home to 82 artists' galleries. This is a great place to view, browse, and buy a wide range of unique local art, including photographs, paintings, sculpture, jewelry, pottery, apparel, and more. In addition to browsing the artists' studios, we'll view the following four exhibits: A juried show of photographs at the Multiple Exposures Gallery "Small Works," "Becoming Animal: Art of the Animal Kingdom," and "Boing! Paintings You Can Play With" at the Art League Gallery. With works of art at pretty much every price range, you might even find that perfect gift or ideal piece of art for your home. WHERE WE'LL MEET We will meet by the spiral "Sculpture Stairs" staircase on the first floor of the Art Center, which you can see on this floorplan. PLEASE DON'T BE A NO-SHOW To keep this manageable, I am setting a limit on the number of RSVPs, so please do not RSVP "Yes," unless you are sure you can make it and plan to attend. There is no "Maybe" option for this meetup; if you are a "Maybe," just swing by the Art Center at some point and see if you can catch up with us, but please do not RSVP "Yes." I may remove the RSVPs of anyone with a history of no-shows. BREAKING BREAD If there is interest, we'll head to one of the restaurants in Alexandria for some post-art-crawl socializing.
