Here's an opportunity to break out your kohl eyeliner, ruffled shirts, eyepatches, peg legs, shoulder-perching parrots, etc. We're going to Piratz Tavern in Silver Spring, MD for their Thieving Thursdays Happy Hour! According to washingtonpost.com, "this is the area's only pirate-themed bar and restaurant." :-O According to their facebook, the happy hour goes from 4pm to 7pm with the following specials: Half priced Appetizers, Grog, and Sangira. $5 Pirate drynks and $3 and $4 beers. Dan's gonna be my co-pilot on this one so look for either him or me. The place is just a few blocks from the Silver Spring Metro station on the Red Line. We'll be there from 5:30pm to the end of happy hour and at least a wee bit beyond so no worries if you can't make it til later.
