The Washington Smushnose Meetup

This week's meetup is at GUY MASON DOG PARK/RUN which is located at 3600 Calvert St, NW (Observatory Circle NW & Calvert St NW, Washington, D.C. 20007). Watch the weather forecast for zip 20007, & let's hope to be smushing from ~9AM on Saturday 6/28th/08. (N.B. We're meeting on saturday mornings from ~9AM through the summer.) The park has a water source and plenty of parking in a parking lot that is specifically designated for the park. It is a fully enclosed dog run with 2 benches, but no shade. The entrance to the park and the lot is at the intersection where Observatory and Calvert Streets intersect at a bend in the road. If you're coming from Logan/Adams Morgan/Dupont, etc area (so from the east), the most direct way is to go Northbound on Massachusetts Ave, NW and then hang a LEFT onto Observatory, just past where the entrance to the Observatory/VP Residence is. There is no light or stop sign to mark the intersection, it's just the first street past the Observatory's guarded gate. The entrance will be on the left as you go around a sharp bend. From the South and West, the easiest way is to go Northbound on Wisconsin Ave, and then hang a RIGHT onto Calvert, which is the first intersection just past the Glover Park Whole Foods.
