Last Sunday training and practice before Sept 12 - 'Michael Jackson's Thriller' TV Show taping for cable TV-16 8:45pm special holiday weekend rehearsal of the authentic 'Michael Jackson's Thriller dance routine' to prepare for the Sat Sept 12 - 'Michael Jackson's Thriller' Television Show Taping for cable TV-16. A great way to also start preparing WELL IN ADVANCE for the upcoming Halloween season and for our 'Michael Jackson's Thriller' Halloween Night Dance-&-Learn Party and late-night Argentine Tango Milonga at the Chevy Chase Ballroom (Sat, October 31st from 7pm-2 or 3am). Join us every Sunday for classes and social dancing from 1:00pm and ending at 11pm, including social dancing & practice in Latin, Argentine Tango, Disco/Hustle, Salsa & Rueda, Swing & the Ballroom dances and more by request between 7pm & 11pm. Classes throughout the day include Red Hot Ballroom for kids (IF ENOUGH RSVP WELL IN ADVANCE), technique and choreography in International Ballroom (Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz and/or Quickstep) and Latin (Rumba, Cha Cha, Paso Doble and/or Samba), Dance-at-Your Wedding Workshops, American style Social Ballroom and Black-tie & Wedding dances, Social Cha Cha, Bachata, Salsa & Rueda, Swing (East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Lindy Hop or Jive), Hand Dancing, C/W 2-Step, Brazilian Samba, Argentine Tango, Mambo and Hip Hop (including "Michael Jackson's Thriller" by request after 8:45pm or Hip Hop moves from Chris Rock's "Head Of State"). THESE ARE ONGOING DROP-IN CLASSES. NO PREVIOUS DANCE EXPERIENCE OR PARTNER REQUIRED. SINGLES, COUPLES, SAME-GENDER COUPLES & THE SEEING & HEARING IMPAIRED ARE WELCOME AND ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND, INCLUDING ALL AGES FROM CHAPERONED CHILDREN TO SENIORS (I'M A SENIOR MYSELF AND HAPPY-LIKE-A-CLAM THAT I MADE IT THIS FAR AND STILL DANCING AT FULL SPEED!....). Will continue every Sunday starting September 13, 2009) (5) SalsaOn2 Mambo Shines & turn patterns with top Mambo expert Psyon Mauricio (intermediate & advanced) and Earl Rush of StuckOnSalsa (beginners). 5pm: (1) beginner Salsa Rueda (SAOCO DC in studio A), (2) Intermed Salsa Rueda (SAOCO DC in studio A), 6pm: (1) Intermediate plus and advanced Salsa Rueda in both studios A & B (taught by SAOCO DC), (2) C/W Two Step (Terry in studio B), 7pm: (1) Beg & Intermed Argentine Tango (7pm-8pm) taught by Rene' Davila (Intermediate & Advanced) and Terry Chasteen (Beginners) followed by Tango and milonga dancing from 8pm-11pm (DJ David Liu).
