Special Event: Baroness Nicholson at City Tavern Club

A special event that may be of interest to members of our Global Health meetup group Baroness Nicholson at the City Tavern Club Baroness Nicholson is the founder and Executive Chairman of the AMAR International Charitable Foundation, which reaches over 500,000 Iraqis with primary health care, health education, and adult literacy programs. Dr. Ali directs AMAR's work in Iraq, including thirty clinics and 2,000 staff and women health volunteers. AMAR's effort to provide health care to underserved populations in areas affected by conflict includes a focus on maternal and child health. In her service in the British and European Parliaments Baroness Nicholson has become known as a leading expert and catalyst on the emergence of democracy and the status of women and children in developing countries, as well as on primary health care.
