Description
http://www.schoonerwoodwind.com/graphics/wwpana.jpg Annapolis is "America's Sailing Capital" and in the heart of the Chesapeake Bay. Help raise the sails, steer the boat, or simply sit back and relax as "Woodwind" sails from the historic waterfront, past the Naval Academy and cruises into the Chesapeake Bay. I am chartering the entire boat just for our group. Woodwind is a replica of the classic, fast wooden schooners that were built as "yachts" in the early part of this century. Her handsome mahogany brightwork, gleaming chrome and roomy cockpit distinguish her from cargo carrying work vessels. Itinerary Max Capacity is 35 We will enjoy and bask in the great Annapolis weather and breeze. You will also be given the opportunity to steer the boat as well. I've done this and it feels awesome. Just don't crash it :) They serve light snacks and soda for free. Alcohol is extra. We set sail at 3pm promptly so don't be late. Account for traffic when driving. Afterwards, we then head to one of the spectacular nearby Annapolis seafood restaurants as a cap to a wonderful day of sailing to dine and converse among newly made friends. We'll be dining at Pusser's Carribean Grille afterwards. The menu and information about the restaurant can be found here. BRING CASH and factor 25% for tax and tip. The restaurant is right next to the dock...literally. Dining is separate from the sailing. So if you wish to dine, please say so in your comments when RSVPing. Dining is limited to the first 11 people. Please do not say yes only to not come as that prevents others from dining. Although, I've done this before and I'm sure others can get another table as well. On the sail, we will see some of the following landmarks; United States Naval Academy Scenic Severn River Historic Annapolis Skyline Thomas Point Lighthouse Chesapeake Bay Bridge Cost: ********PAYPAL HERE********* Early: $49 Late: $55 Carpooling options Please list if you can drive or wish to be driven and from where. Please list that in the comments box on the left hand side where it says, "talk about this meeting." Don't list it in the RSVP section as it'll be hard for people to respond to. As a courtesy, we only ask that you pay the driver a few dollars for gas money due rising gas prices nowadays. Cancellation Policy and other things that you need to know Once tickets are purchased, there are no refunds or exchanges hence I cannot issue you a refund. Though, you are welcome to find a replacement. Refunds are only issued in the event of inclement weather and that is decided by the captain. They do sail in light rain but not in stormy weather. They give us ponchos in case of rain. If they cancel, we will reschedule to another date. Street parking is a rarity in downtown Annapolis so metered or valet parking is your best bet. It's just as bad as downtown DC. Paid List for sailing RSVP List for dining
