Description
Hi folks, So here's the deal. Primal Fitness has a 10am parkour "free session" and a 1pm parkour "bootcamp." You are welcome to attend either, of course, but we usually plan the Meetups around the earlier, 10am parkour session because: 1. In the summer, it's cooler (this is important, trust me. That gym gets HOT!). 2. If you attend the 1pm bootcamp, you may actually wind up in the middle of a bootcamp schedule. The bootcamps are 6 workouts (I think), and you might wind up at #4, working on balance, or maybe strength training, and not doing a lot of the fun stuff you get to work on at the free sessions. 3. The free session, on the other hand, is about learning new techniques, and then working on those techniques and drilling and drilling and drilling some more. It's maybe a little less rigorous than the bootcamp, overall (but not by much...trust me, two hours is a GOOD WORKOUT). Then you get to follow it up with an obstacle course, and that's just fun. 4. Finally, the 10am workout is a bit more conducive to people who've never been to the gym before, or who have never tried parkour. You work out as hard as you can, according to your own abilities. You'll learn from people who know a lot more than you, too (not that you won't learn at the bootcamp, too, but the ratio of experienced traceurs to newbies is higher at the 10am class). So my point? You can go to either, or to any class at PF according to their schedule, of course, but for those of you who want to try this for the first time, the Saturday 10am workout is the way to go. Anyway, hope this helps some of you understand the schedule. FYI, I'm at the gym every Saturday at 10am (provided I'm in the DC area, which has been a lot lately). You can always call me on my cell if you get lost, or have questions, or just email me: 571-215-8218 salil.maniktahla@gmail.com Thanks, and I hope to meet you all at the gym! Salil
