Event details: Puerto Rican Matinee: Contemporary Films from the Island ...
Description
The Smithsonian Latino Center presents two films from Puerto Rico that reflect the political, social, and economic changes taking place on the island. Discussion follows 3 PM screening.
12 Noon-2 PM Cayo (2005, directed by Vicente Juarbe) A touching love story about friendships lost and regained.
3-5 PM Maldeamores (2007, directed by Carlos Ruiz Ruiz and Mariem Perez Riera) A dark comedy about love and relationships.
