Continuing the Dream of Dr. King
Join us at the site of his last Sunday sermon, as young people from around the metropolitan area convene for a lively celebration of the life of Dr. King. Consider the future of our country under the leadership of President-elect Barack Obama. Hear from local youth as they create their own message to our new president in a dynamic, joyful, soulful afternoon. Led by multi-media artist and educator Bomani Armah on the forty-first anniversary of Dr. King's untimely death.
With Performances by Bomani Armah, Urban Nation H.I.P.-H.O.P. Choir, The African Heritage Drummers, Violinist Daniel Davis and Poets Omekongo Dibinga, Queque Avilez, and Tokia "2 Deep" Carter.
