Description
(1998, 104 min., directed by Chris Eyre in his debut) This independent film follows a young Native man who embarks on a life-changing journey with his childhood friend to retrieve the body of his estranged father. The screenplay by Sherman Alexie (Spokane/Coeur d'Alene) is based on his short story collection The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heaven. Following the screening, Hanay Geiogamah moderates a discussion with filmmaker Chris Eyre (Cheyenne/Arapaho).
