The Gauley is truly world-class, the Upper Gauley offer more than 60 rapids creating on the the highest-rated one-day adventures available. We'll be rafting at least 14 of these adrenaline packed rapids. I'll remind you to try the New River before attemping the Gauley. It's good to get your feet wet before you Dive in. CAMPING: No Electric Hookup Showers & Bathroom Sports Bar Game Room with Pool Table & TV WHAT to BRING: Tent & Sleeping Bag Wet Suits Recommended - You may rent for $30 farmer style w/Rain Jacket Shoes that can get Wet Warm Clothes - No cotton on the water - Fleece or Wool Preferred Firewood - Each Person Bring or Buy a Bundle when you arrive. Drinks - Marshmallows for Smores and any snacks you wish Chairs for sitting around Campfire CARPOOL: 5 hour trip from DC so plan accordingly Carpool is recommended so let's start planning. Also if you are planning both rivers make sure the carpool you chose is doing the same or doesn't mind waiting.
