Let's start off the new year by exploring our own city's history and culture at the Washington Historical Society (http://www.historydc.org/). It is located two blocks from the Mt. Vernon Square metro (Yellow and Green lines) and Galleryplace metro (Red, Yellow, and Green lines). January 11 will be the opening day for the exhibit "Quilts for Obama: Celebrating the Inauguration of our 44th President". It will also be one of the last days to see "Exhibition: International Holiday Traditions." Afterwards we can get a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants in or near Chinatown. This venue is free, but please consider a $1 donation to help with the Culture Club's meetup expenses. Thank you!
