Description
Note: Films are for mature audiences.
12 Noon-3 PM: La cancion del pulque (2003, in Spanish with English subtitles, directed by Everardo Gonzalez)
This film offers a portrait of daily life at the pulqueria (tavern) La Pirata and pays homage to ranchera music, to the barrio (neighborhood), to pulque (a traditional alcoholic drink dating to indigenous times), and to all those who drink it. Discussion with the film's director follows.
3-5 PM: Los ladrones viejos: las leyendas del artegio (2007, in Spanish with English subtitles, directed by Everardo Gonzalez) This film tells the story of a generation of thieves who were notorious in Mexico during the 1960s. It also delves into the Mexican criminal underworld, the police authorities who allowed them to continue their illegal activities, and the consequences of this relationship.

Arthur M. Sackler Gallery
The Arthur M. Sackler Gallery is a gallery of Asian art located in Washington, DC, United States, part of the Smithsonian Institute. The Sackler is one of two galleries of the National Museum of Asian Art, the other being the Freer Gallery.The gallery is located on the National Mall (in Washington, D.C.), directly behind the Smithsonian Castle. Its main spaces are underground, and connects to both the Freer and the National Museum of African Art. The Sackler's main entrance is situated off of the gardens of the Smithsonian Castle along Independence Avenue.
