THE DC IMPROV COMEDY CLUB PRESENTS "PAY WHAT YOU CAN NIGHT" A Once A Month Series

In an effort for everyone to have the ability to experience the art of standup comedy the way it was intended to be seen, "Live,"The DC Improv Comedy Club is pleased to announce our new monthly series, "Pay What You Can Night." We understand that not all people are in a position to see live comedy due to their financial situations, now simply, "Pay What You Can."

The night returns Wednesday, January 21st featuring The Jameson Comedy Tour. Tickets may still be purchased in advance for this evening at our normal ticket price of $15.00. Tickets to "Pay What You Can" are available only the night of the show on a first come first served basis upon availability. Showtime is at 8:30p.m., and doors open for seating at 7:00p.m. Our two item minimum will not be enforced for this show; however our 18 years and older policy will remain in effect.

After that one night a month will be announced as "Pay What You Can Night." Please feel free to contact The DC Improv with any questions at 202 296-7008.

Jameson Irish Whiskey comes from one of the greatest story-telling cities in the world - Dublin, Ireland - so it is only natural that Jameson would support comics, laughter and having a good time with friends. The nationwide tour will feature some of the comedy's freshest comedians on the circuit today. Headliners include;

Billy Gardell - Billy's half hour special premiered in April of this year, to record breaking numbers for Comedy Central. They have followed this up with an order of a new one hour special, which will be shot in early 09, for second quarter release in 09. This year Billy has co-starred in "My name is Earl" and "Desperate Housewives", with a likely recurring role on Earl for the fall. Gardell garnered outstanding reviews for his show at the prestigious 2008 Montreal Just for Laughs Festival, where he brought to the stage a stellar performance to industry buyers and fans alike. Pete Correale - Pete stars daily on the Sirius Radio program "Unleashed with Jim Breuer," where he is a co-host and writer/producer. In talks with Sirius for his own stand alone comedy program for 09. The show is the second highest rated comedy program on satellite radio, second only to Howard Stern. Correal will be shooting his new Comedy Central one hour special "The Things we Do For Love" in New York, Sept 08, due for national release in second quarter of 09. Michael Loftus - Michael's current development deal with ABC Family for a sitcom based on his stand up, which is written by and starring Michael, is in full development with a script order. He just finished writing his first feature script "First Kiss" for Sparkler Entertainment (the producers of National Treasure Films). www.myspace.com/Michael) Loftus is taping his one hour Comedy Central special "You've Changed" in Aug 08, for first quarter 09 national release.

Danny Bevins - Danny continues to tour and support his national best selling DVD "Thank You Mrs. Bevins," which has been picked up at national retail. Appearances on Fox TV's Red Eye and USO tours of the Middle East continue to bring rave reviews and press to this project.
