Recently described by The New York Times as "one of the world's best working photojournalists," David Burnett has worked in more than 80 countries and has covered the war in Vietnam, famine in Ethiopia, the fall of the Berlin Wall and the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, among others. He has photographed every U.S. president since John F. Kennedy.

One of the few Western journalists in Iran during its violent 1979 revolution, Burnett explains the eerie similarities of photographs he shot in those tumultuous days and images captured just months ago at demonstrations in Tehran.
