The DAR Museum exhibition "New Threads: Quilts and Costumes" invites patrons into the mind of a curator by showcasing recently axquired quilts and costumes and explaining why and how each of the specific pieces was accepted into the museum's collection. DAR Museum, 1776 D Street NW, Washington, DC 20006 Free admission M-F 9:30 am - 4:00 pm and Sat 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
