COLUMBUS DAY FAST & FURRIEST 5K RUN/WALK

On Monday, October 13th join Vola Lawson and her dog, "Jack", to raise awareness and funds for the Vola Lawson Animal Shelter at the Columbus Day Fast & Furriest 5k Run/Walk. The race will be organized into 3 heats: 1) Runners without dogs 9:00am; 2) Runners with dogs 9:15am; 3) Walkers with and without dogs 9:30am. The shelter will provide dogs to adopt for the walk! To get to the start of the run/walk take Washington St/GW Parkway south from Old Town Alexandria 1 mile and take the first turn to your left labeled "Belle Haven Sailing Marina." Take the first left into the large parking area. Packet pick up 8am. Dog activities at 8:30am. T-shirts for 2-legged participants. Bandanas for 4-legged. Register online at www.
