Charity Happy Hour at BRAND NEW Eyebar!!!

UPDATE #2: Spread the word, come on out and join us at the BRAND NEW EYEBAR!! While you're there you can meet new people and help support a good cause! UPDATE #1: The 80's in DC, DC Euro, Outgoing Singles, DC Night Life and Washington German Language groups will be co-hosting as well! So spread the word, come on out, meet new people, and help support a good cause! A BRAND NEW EYEBAR! Eyebar is currently under major renovations, to be completed by end of September. I am told by the owner that it will have a complete new look. And we will be one of the first big events in the newly-renovated Eyebar! Plus, we will be raising money for Kid Power-DC, a local charity that provides youth development programs to underserved communities in the District of Columbia. Kid Power-DC was featured in the Catalogue for Philanthropy 2007-08 as "One of the best small charities in the Greater Washington region." For those that haven't been to one of our Happy Hours before, there will be greeters at the top of the first flight of stairs after you enter. You'll be greeted with a warm hello, and provided a nametag. We've found that wearing nametags creates a warm and friendly environment, and you'll be amazed at the kindness and friendliness of this group. So don't be afraid to come alone, as you'll make friends right away! Plus, we will provide an ice-breaker activity to facilitate the interaction. Washington German Language As for our fundraising efforts, we'll have a rep from Kid Power-DC collecting donations at the door. This is not a cover, and donations are not required for entry. We suggest donations of $5-$10, and we'll post the results of the fundraising on our website after the event. 80% of the money donated will go towards the charity, and the remaining 20% will go to the 20s and 30s Going Group to cover meetup fees and expenses. Eyebar is near the intersection of 17th and I St, and is walking distance from Farragut West and Farragut North Metro Stops (orange and red lines).
