Join the group for a 36 miles (round trip) Bike Ride on Mount Vernon Trail and Dinner in Alexandria, VA. http://www.bikewashington.org/trails/vernon/vernon.htm Spend a day biking and enjoying the beautiful sights of the bike trail to Mount Vernon. Please eat a good breakfast before you arrive - because of the length of the ride small/light snacks and lots of water during the ride and at the noon-ish break are HIGHLY recommended. Check the health of your bike and yourself prior to ride. IF YOU ATTEND THIS EVENT-BIKE RIDING IS AT YOUR OWN RISK-CULTURAL ACTIVITY GROUP, LLC ASSUMES NO LIABILITY FOR INJURIES OR ACCIDENTS. Bring your lunch. (we can also eat lunch out if we find a place). 9:00 AM ÂÂ- Meet at Theodore Roosevelt Island (limited parking) 9:30 AM - Leave Theodore Roosevelt Island for Mt. Vernon 12 NOON ÂÂ- Arrive at Mt. Vernon 1 hour to rest, refill water bottles and use restroom 1:00 - Leave for Theodore Roosevelt Island 3:30 ÂÂ- Arrive at Theodore Roosevelt Island. Have dinner in Alexandria, VA following. Required: Helmet, Proper footwear, plently of Water, Light snacks, ID, Emergency Contact # Suggested Backpack or saddle bag, money, change of clothes, sunscreen and lip protectant (SPF 15 or higher recommended), Sunglasses, extra water, long-sleeve shirt, lunch/snack, and metro card just in case.
