Event details: Waltham Mills Artists Association 33rd Annual Open Studios
Description
Come take part in Waltham's Open Studios celebration as more than 70 artists of the Waltham Mills Artists Association (WMAA) open their doors to the public for a free multimedia art exhibition on the weekend of November 7 and 8.
Now in its 33rd consecutive year, the WMAA Open Studios is one of the oldest and longest-running Open Studios in the greater Boston area. Its extensive history has resulted in a vibrant, diverse community of artists - some who have worked at the Waltham Mills since the 1970s and others who will mark their first Open Studios in Waltham this fall.
The award-winning artists of the Waltham Mills also cover a broad range of disciplines, which means the WMAA Open Studios can offer something for everyone. Expect to see paintings, sculpture, wood-works, collages, ceramics, glass-works, prints, textiles, photography and jewelry on display. Film, video, and animation artists will also screen work throughout the weekend.
This is a FREE exhibition, open to the public. It will take place in two neighboring buildings at 144 Moody Street, and will also include artists of Lincoln Studios at 289 Moody Street.
Saturday, November 7, 12-6 pm. Sunday, November 8, 12-5 pm. For more information, see www.wmaastudios.org .
