The Women’s Studies Research Center at Brandeis University welcomes emerging multimedia artist Sarah Young to campus to create a site-specific installation titled “Occupy Sanhedrin.” As the fourth annual Hadassah-Brandeis Institute Artist in Residence, Young will exhibit photographs and a will install a large, interactive feminist rendition of a Sanhedrin (rabbinic court) in the gallery. Young’s work explores issues of justice, Judaism and the body, and she invites viewers to engage with traditional ideas and received wisdom of judicatory in a new way.
