Description
Races: 12 Hours, 24 Hours, Marathon
Enjoy the 14th running of this intimate mid-summer festival of endurance running held along the shores of Lake Quannapowitt in Wakefield, MA (just 15 miles north of Boston).
The flat, scenic, wheel-measured 3.16 mile loop course is lighted, well marked, and routed entirely on paved surfaces (sidewalks, paths, and office park access road) except for a 35 yard section of dirt path. Aid stations, located at opposite ends of the lake, are approximately 1.5 miles apart. Limited onsite lodging is available.
Awards for all finishers. Prizes presented to Top 3 finishers (M/F) of Individual races as well as Top finishing Team.
A special "Take the Lake Century Award" hand crafted by a local Somerville artist is provided to all individuals who complete at least 31 laps around the course (101+ miles).
The Somerville Road Runners (SRR.org) is proud to host these four distinct races in continued support of the Begg's Laboratory at Children’s Hospital Boston and the Wakefield Educational Foundation.

All races will be chip timed.
