Description
We will put in at the Drum Point Boat Ramp at the end of Mill Landing Road in Virginia Beach. We will look at conditions and either paddle Nanney's Creek or if things are favorable, explore a bit of Back Bay. Brng a snack or lunch, and we will stop part way through the paddle and lunch in our boats. Mill landing Road is a left turn off of Princess Anne Road, about five miles south of Pungo. The city boat ramp is about 2-1/2 miles down this winding road. Plenty of parking! There is no place to get out and stretch our legs during this paddle. If we stick to the creek, it is beginner/intermediate. If we head out into Back bay, it is intermediate/advanced, with open water and waves.
